This last week has been that.
Emotionally it has run the gamut….about the only emotion I haven’t had to deal with is jealousy… All the others have been there.
Fear and sadness taking centre stage.
And I am not the only person dealing with this.
My understanding is that the Japanese Internet is so full of wrong information that people feel despair .
On several occasions I have seen people break down in public… Something that is rarely seen in japan
The roller coaster ride that is the story of the nukes doesn’t help.
I have been trying to figure out why the media obsession with painting things as the worst.
As a public, is this what we truly want, to have something else to be afraid of?
Or is it in best interest of the media owner to paint everything black. When they do this do we buy more ( the aim of most media)?
Or is it that they are just lazy? It takes a lot of work to understand complex issuses ( science ) and even more work to explain it to the “masses”. Especially the masses who are more interested in Charlie or American idol.
