How is this going to shape Canada in the future.
The Great Depression in the 30s and WWII created a couple of generations ( my parents) of savers.
The boomers ( my generation) are consumers ( maybe over consumers)
What will the generation of this latest wave of immigrants bring…
consumers ( rebuilding their lives)
savers ( hanging on to what they have)
more focused ( they know what it is like to leave everything behind)
I think this is one of the most interesting aspect of my adventure..going from a culture where differences are expected, encouraged and celebrated, to a culture where difference is discouraged, and uniqueness is rare.{jcomments on}
