I am an observer.

Growing up we moved around a bit, and I was not involved in sports… I was the kid who sat on the side lines watching.

The jobs I had, that I liked the most, had me traveling alone to different cities.

This may be why I am a photographer, my being on the outside, alone, observing.

Japan fascinates me, because there is so much to see, to experience, to observe

I met for brunch with a friend on Saturday I

knew exactly where we meeting but I wasn’t sure if I could remeber how to get there

Surprisingly I found it with plenty of time.

While I was waiting I started to think about what I was feeling about Tokyo and why I was here

I feel alive!

Everything I do here has a challenge to it. Not enough to be discouraging but enough that I can’t sleep walk through anything. Even something simple as ordering a tea can be intetesting (hotoh tea, lemon,)

When I was in Toronto, everything was familiar, the only edge was keeping my eyes open and being atuned to the surrounding ( people)

It was the same as I knew ( though the dirt and disrepair of the TTC was really noticeable )

As I have mentioned elsewhere I am not an adventurer… I like to be safe. I don’t have any desire to go to some place where there is danger( other then the normal having a life )

I guess Japan is like a ride at Disney land… Interesting, new and challenging, but clean and safe
