Tokyo is a extremely energetic city, without some of the issuse other cities have.
It is a city based around people, not cars.
Walking, transit and bikes are the main modes of moving around.
People have a respect for others… You don’t hear taxis honking at street lights, you don’t find litter on the street ( you take your wrappings with you). Even in large crowds people still respect your (small) personal space.
Do I expect Tokyo to be uptopia?
I know that there will be things I won’t like. I am going there with open eyes.
I have traveled a bit, and Tokyo was the first city that I felt as comfortable in as Toronto. I am going back to learn more.
