V.D. Marketing

Tokyo, I thought, was the most consumerised city I had been to.  Loja beats it hands down when it comes to valentines day.  Every where I walk today there are people selling, buying, and carrying, flowers ( red roses) balloons candies and other stuff aimed directly at VD… There are multiple vendors on each street corner.

I have noticed that vendors don’t seem to target me…. I guess with my white beard and hair ( both very rare) they are afraid to approach me?

I had some time before my next set of classes started, so I thought I would go to a quite square near the school….. So much for quite….there are 50+ vendors selling valentines stuff…and people walking around selling…and a sound system pumping out bad sounding disco or maybe merengie.

I will have to admit the cup cakes do look good.
