12:32 A beautiful day in loja. Has spring/ summer arrived?
Yesterday I took part in a ” trek to Podocarpus” organized by some level of government. I walked with the poet and the English Texan. It was a great walk, all told maybe 20 to 25 kilometers.
I feel good today, no major or new aches and pains.
The biggest ” excitement” was that one of the busses used to transport the trekkers ( a lot of people didn’t walk ) dropped on of it’s wheels off the road. I am not sure when and how they got it unstuck, but there were 5 busses that could not move because it was blocking the way.
We were picked up by the poet’s daughter… We went and had a great lunch in Malacotas
A good day. Got one or two ok shots as well.

17:16 Thinking what to pack to take to Yantzaza. It is going to be warm or hot with sun and rain
I also have to think about which electronic toys stay here and which go with me. I am getting a ride there but I am not sure about my return. I am planning on a bus, even though I hope I will get picked up.
We will see
I was also told today that I might also be teaching morning classes as well. It will be cool to make extra coin, but it will cut down on my exploring time.

13:02 I have been hard at work on the course I am teaching next week. I have a book I really like, but the students have another book.
I have also been putting together a power point presentation. It won’t be pretty or fancy… Just the facts. I thought about doing the whole course power point, but spending 3 hours in a darkened room listening to me drone on will put anyone to sleep.

17:48 I went with the boss to Yantzaza today. We went to confirm details withthe teachers I will be teaching next week
I will have a Loy of work between now and then putting together the course… I am thinking of PowerPoint for some of it.
Yantzaza is a small town that is much warmer then loja. I actually thawed out and was sweating. I think my body has forgotten how to sweat from heat, though I do perspire on hikes.
The road between loja and Zamora ( which we have to take) is one of my favorite roads. I might feel different if I had to drive it. The longest straight might be 400 meters, but that is rare. There are lots of small curves and a few that cover about 280 degrees. And there are always elevation changes… Up into the clouds then down into the valley floor.
