I slept on a ” bed” last night for the first time in 3 months…. My back was sore this morning.
It is really easy to find coffee but I am having a real issue finding tea… Iced coffee will have to provide my caffeine fix.
No real plans for the day… Just wander around take pics and get a feel for the place.
First impressions have not been favorable , but I am warming to the place.
The number of older buildings is impressive, I don’t think they have earthquake problems.
On the downside the building style of most of the new hi rises seems to be of the square ugly school… There are a few buildings that seem to stand out just because the rest are so awful
Right now I am taking a break after walking around a palace. Gives me an interesting feel for what life was like earlier.

I spent a few hours getting lost and wandering the city.
The car is king in this city… with all the dirt and noise that implies. Streets 6 or 8 lanes wide cutting through districts, not being able to handle all the traffic. No bicycles…
The few people I talked to seem really friendly…. time to go out and find a meal… the choices look astounding.
