Yesterday morning, while sitting at my computer, there was a bang in the distance and the power went out. This is not a common occurrence in Zamora.
I started to think about how it would affect my day.
Breakfast…gas stove no problem
Internet…problem
meeting at school… no problem ( lights don’t get turned on until it gets dark)
Shopping…. no problem, merchants at the market only take cash
So I concluded that, as long as the power returned before dark, my life would not be affected at all…except for inability to feed my internet addiction.
The power came and went several time through the day. I am not sure for how long and how many times, because it had little affect on the life happening around me.
This is one of the advantages of a country such as Ecuador. Would this be the same for where you live?
