The latest news is that Tokyo drinking water has been found to contain radioactive Iodine.
It was found at one treatment plant a couple of days ago.
And……….
This is where I dislike the Japanese press.
North American Press would be showing the location of the plant, where that water goes, what the amount was at several locations, what it is hour by hour…..
Japanese press just releases what they are told. ( safe for adults, not safe for infants… no need to panic) I want more information!
I have been going through my safety assessment with this added in. What will this do to me? What can help ( iodine pills)? What can hurt ( iodine pills)? Can it be filtered ( not really)? Should I just drink beer ( likeing this idea)?
As an older guy I am not at much risk from this at this level, but I really feel for people with children.
I still believe that I am more likely to be hurt by an old lady on a bike running me down, then anything else ( they can be reckless and you have to stay out of their way… and the sidewalks are for walking and riding…roads are for cars)
