13:12 Last day of teaching for a couple of weeks.
Tomorrow is a holiday, and Saturday night is when I take the bus. If I had known about the holiday, I might have booked for tomorrow… Oh well
Tomorrow, if the weather looks good, I will go for a hike with the poet, and maybe the English Texan.
With the news I have learned the last couple of days, I am feeling a bit down. I can’t say much, cause I am not sure what is public knowledge.
Time for lunch then back to class

14:47 Nikon Shooters. What are the “best” ( price vs quality) lens for a Nikon system ( I am a canon shooter but I have been asked by a Nikon friend) mostly people photography… prime ( 85?) for studio Zoom, medium Telephoto for studio and outside. f2.8 or faster. Suggestions?

23:25 I live In a fantasy world. It is one of the things I am realizing as I plan my trip to Ontario… That I am coming back to reality.
I have to deal with the realities that are the lives of people I care about, the pain, fears and sorrows as well as joys, that are part of living.
The life I have here is mostly self centered, with not a lot of deep connection with people. Is this my form of coping… Or is this another version of me running away…. again.

11:51 The walk on Monday was nice, not too long or strenuous. A nice way to spend a couple of hours.
I was without Internet for 3 days. I got a lot of cleaning done around the apartment. I leave for Toronto in less than a week and there is stuff I want to get done.
I am also trying to arrange my time while in Toronto. It looks like I will try and have a show and tell on the 23rd. Right now my slide show is around 450 images… Need to cut that down a bit.

13:57 I am waiting to be picked up by the poet. We are going to pick up the English Texan and someone I have never met and go for a walk/ trek. I don’t think it will be a big one, but I just want to get out and stretch my legs. I won’t get much of a chance over the next week for this.

4:47 I am up early (4:30) to catch a bus to Yantzaza. In the distance I can hear music, singing and whistleingl I don’t know if this is a fiesta that started early( not likely) or a continuation of last night.
The way sound carries in the valley, it is hard to figure out where it is coming from, and how far away it is. It sounds like they are having a good time.
When I went out to catch my taxi, I found the party was just up the street. As I was waiting two women and a man came staggering out of the party house. The ladies were having troubling walking in their heels. The man was wavering as he walked… Alcohol as well as the sleeping child he was carrying made it a difficult walk.
After a bit of work they all got into a little car and drove off… Drinking and driving is still popular here.
