Had an interesting moment the other day.
Walking down the street in Shinjuku…. something I do a lot of.
A little ways in front of me are two dudes… and from behind they look like they are Bad Ass or Bad Ass wannabees.
They move aside to allow a lady with a baby stroller to pass…. walk a couple more steps look at each other… one reaches down …then they both turn and chase after the lady.
I have no clue as to what is going on, but I slip into protect the baby mode… ( not close enough to do anything but feel adrenaline start to pump…you know the feeling when your body starts to react before your brain figures it out ( which can be bad in Tokyo… as a Foreigner you can’t show any aggression…. if you throw a punch…whatever the reason…self defense..whatever…you stay will be very limited))
A couple of strides the Bad Asses catch the lady…she seems shocked, as they hand her a sock that her child had dropped. Bows all around and everyone moves on their way. They make badasses different over here.
