I has the chance to work out with my equipment choices today. I am a firm believer in testing set-ups before I need to use them ( which is why I am writing this on my iPhone)
When I was working out set-ups I didn’t take into account the pre-flash when working in ETTL mode. My Vivitar was set to trigger optically so it would trigger with pre-flash and not be ready to fo for the flash.
My solution is to use the FlexTT5 to trigger all the slaves using Flex’s for the cannon and multimax’s for the Vivitars. This works really well, but I was hoping to leave the multis at home… I am running out of room.
