11:36 I got power back last night, so I spent a few hours getting caught up on stuff. I am still working hard on getting images up on stock sites. It is a lot of work, and, so far, the payout has been none existent. I have come to realize that this is a 3 to 6 month project to decide if I can make anything from this. I really haven’t invested anything, but time.
School has been the pits… I won’t say more since it is so depressing.
I decided that I am going to spend a couple of days with my camera in Zamora at Copalinga. I am looking forward to it.
Right now I am sitting waiting for the bus. I didn’t buy a ticket ahead and I didn’t check the times so I have about a 45 minute wait. I get to spend my time watching the theatre of the bus station…. And what theatre it is….the lady repacking her chickens as one try’s to get away… The lady haggling over the price of a newspaper because she doesn’t read a lot of the sections… The guys walking around selling watches, belts glasses,headphones flashlights… The kids… The old folks, the indigenous…. It is all extremely entertaining.

7:34 I have been without power for several days.
The electrical company cut it off to half the building for non payment. The guy who was supposed to pay it decided he was paying too much… So instead of talking to all of us he just stopped paying….

9:32 I had a very good Christmas.
When one of my students found out what I did ( spent my days alone enjoying my own company) she said I was a “bitter old man”… She has been watching too many American movies. When I explained that this is what I want and need she reverted to ” old man”…..
This student is a very advanced private student who will be going to university in the new year. Amongst other things, I have been teaching her the difference in pronouncing sheet, and shit…. Very difficult.
My apartment has been without power for 2 days. It looks like someone forgot to pay the power bill. Hopefully when I go home for lunch it will be sorted. My fridge defrosted and I will have to toss some food.
I am thinking of going to Zamora for a day or two for my long weekend. I wanted to check at the lodge I like there…. But can’t without power.
I am back at school and having a tough time getting going in the AM.

17:53 I went all out for Christmas… bought a Kilo of Fresh Red Ripe Tomatoes (8), a Kilo of red onions, 3 Avacodos, 1/2 Kilo of black berries, and some carrots and 1/2 a kilo fresh green peas….. and got change back from my $5.

15:03 The Friday before Christmas. I am sitting in class but I don’t expect any students. A normal Friday is usually pretty light…a Friday before a long weekend?
It is also payday, so we will see if the school comes through.

It doesn’t feel very much like Christmas and it makes me very happy. There is a buzz, but it isn’t over the top as it is in Canada.
I have 4 days off, but I have not planned much. This is mainly because I am not sure when and how much I am going to be paid, so I am not sure if my rent has to come from this….
I was thinking of going for a hike at some point. It has been a few weeks since I have done a serious stretch. I don’t have someone who is my level and interest to go with which make the interest level pretty low.
I have bought several movies, and plan to buy a couple more. At $1.50 per copy, $10 or $12 can buy a lot of viewing hours.
I also have loaded up my KOBO so I don’t have to worry about being bored!
I have been working hard on submitting images to stock photo sites on-line. You can see my trials and tribulation with this on my lazy photographer blog.
This has been an interesting experience, and even if it doesn’t make any money, it will be well worth the time and effort.
