I am not a great money manager ( I hear some of you laughing at this statement)
One of the ongoing planning issues I have been dealing with is my budget and cashflow.
I don’t have to worry about expenses while away, my host is covering most of them.
What I have had to think about are expenses like rent, car insurance etc that still need to be covered here even while away.
Also to be considered is the lag time between my return and receiving of more income.
To deal with this I have set up a spread sheet that deals with cash flow until the end of May. If all goes as planned I am covered, with some extra spending money. But, in order to do this trip, I have had to make some hard decisions and deferals in expendatures. ( Salsa Vs Japan, Steak Vs noodles)
If some income happens ( such as workshops) that I haven’t budgeted for, then I can relax a bit… but I think it will be worth it.
