17:03 I did my Sunday shopping… No avocados to be found in the market, but 5 fresh tomatoes for .25 is nice… I think I was overcharged on the bananas though 18 for .75. I have apples bread and water to take with me on my little adventure tonight/ tomorrow.
This is the weekend the “virgin of Cisne” arrives. The procession is supposed to include between 500,000 to 1 million people.
I want to photograph this from the top of the pass that people have to cross. I have to either get up really early and walk to the top, or take a bus tonight and hang out until the morning. They close the road to car traffic at midnight.
Still haven’t decided which, yet, but i am having an early evening snooze….

14:01 Kinda a down day. Several things to be thinking about, all of them downers ( death, cancer, money). I am out taking a walk with my camera, something that usually brings me up, but I don’t feel like pulling it out of my bag.

12:42 My students ( English teachers) took me out for coffee last night. They also gave me a gift of a nice blue sweater.
I have been cold in loja, and I seem to be getting colder. My new sweater is nice and warm.
IÂ figured something out. Clothes don’t keep you warm if they are too big for you.
I have a couple of sweaters that kinda hang on me now, which is why they don’t keep me as warm as they used to.

12:59 Loja has a very good football team. The second best in the country.
But they don’t have much in the way of fan support. The team is only a few years old, and being a football fan and which team you support seems to be determined at birth.
Most of the fans in Loja support a club from qyacuial Barcalona Football club. They may switch their aligence to loja if BFC didn’t do well, but they are first in Ecuador.

14:53 Spent more of the morning working on updates to the site. It has been so long since I worked on the site I forgot how.
Now at school ready for my 15:00 class.
The boss has been talking to me about teaching a TOFEL class in Zamora. Every Saturday for 5 months. I have suggested that instead I teach for 2 weeks, 4 hours a day. We will see where this goes.

14:04 I had lunch with Mr B. We discussed what we want to do when we grow up.
I learned that instead of 1 week off between cycles we have 2. When I talked to the boss about this, it came down to a screw up in start dates between the two schools in Loja.
I have been working on my website, and thinking more about the photo tours. I still haven’t run any numbers so I am not sure if it will fly.
