As I mentioned, I really screwed up by ot looking at my final files before uploading them.
This morning I got a rejection form iStock…one of the bigger players and one that research says will provide the most likely hood of sales.
I took a look at the images I had submitted, and thought about if they would pass. I then removed about half of my files from the “pending” list. This will give me a chance to rework them and resubmit.
I am glad I did this, since 2 more of my images were reviewed and pass the QC process.
Stock is a numbers game, you have to have the numbers in the game to get the hits, and you have to have the numbers of hits to get the sales.
Submitting images that will not be accepted keeps you out of the game. I also suspect that a low approval rateing effects how many you can submit, though I have not found proof of this…yet.
