I would be interested in the Hummers, but I don’t think I would like to shoot them during mid day sun ( assuming there is sun), but I also dont want to walk into the sun for the day, so yes let’s start at the west end and work our way east.

El Centro is longer and more interesting east to west so my suggestion would be to meet either at San Blas Square in the east, or San Sebastian Square in the west. Both squares have a fountain where we could meet, out of the way of the churchgoers.
You stated that you want to photograph the old buildings. I don’t know if you are aware, but there is a large hummingbird statue exhibit in Otorongo Square which is just below San Sebastian to the south. If that interests you then it might be better to start at that end? (you can see this exhibit in my blog below to see if that is worth a stop for you).
