\"062110-222\"With the camera prefocused…kinda… I am shooting from the hip.\u00a0 I carry the camera in my right hand and point and click at items that interest me… most turn out to be crap… but I do get some interesting images.<\/p>\n

This next image was captured at Cherry Beach.\u00a0 I remember as I was taking it that I was a little upset that the man had stepped into my frame… but I snapped anyway.<\/p>\n

I switched the colours to grayscale because the sky was dull anyway and I think it adds to the image.<\/p>\n

Serendipity or sometimes you just get lucky<\/h2>\n

I have been shooting a lot with a lensbaby<\/a>.\u00a0 The effects I can get are great, when you take the time to set it up, get your focus perfect…take test shots.<\/p>\n

That is not how I have been using it.\u00a0 I set up a prefocus point and press the stutter when something interesting might be in my range.\u00a0 Added to the “spray and pray” part of this style of photography, is that I have been shooting out the window of moving street cars for a lot of my images.<\/p>\n

(This is the basis of the series I am working on My Toronto<\/a>. )<\/p>\n

This style of photography reminds me of the days of film… never knowing what you have until you take it home and look at it.\u00a0 It also brings a lot of luck into the capture of images… the wow factor when you look at them.\"062310-060\"<\/p>\n
