I am not a big fan of Christmas… actually it is one of the times of the year I really dislike
There are many reasons for this, which I will not go into, but for the past 10 years or so I have dreaded this time of year.
This year year I have tried hard to stay focused and upbeat.Â
Part of this was staying away from Christmas carols. The season I worked for Home Depot I had to wear ear plugs ( a fireable offense) to keep from going postal.
Christmas will be very low key with my parents.
Things start getting going again after the 27th. I will be going back to Toronto to make my round of goodbyes and then on the 17th head south. I am trying hard not to get too excited about this… I don’t want everything to exceed my expectations.
Being on a budget is a major part of any planning, and I have some funds set aside for this adventure, but I have to watch my spending carefully. There may be some unexpected things I have to watch for.
I am getting new glasses, which are costing me much more then i budgeted for. I could have cheaped on on the eyewear, but I purchase glasses so infrequently I went for quality. Â It just means I may not be able to purchase some do-dads I was thinking about from MEC, that I really don’t need and don’t really have space for anyway.
Now if I could get my blogging software to work on my ipad…….
