Freedom from stuff

I may have to move on again.

The visa issues is not going in my favor.

I was trying to explain to someone the other day, why I don’t want to go back to Toronto.

Right now I have freedom to move around, go where I want, as I please ( well not really… Governments seem to have more control then I like) If I went back to Toronto, I am not sure if I could ever break free of my stuff again.

I know people who can control their stuff, or like stuff. They need or want their stuff around them to feel comfortable, to feel happy.

Stuff is a big part of their lives. Furniture, appliances, books, Knicks knacks, souvenirs, pictures, bedding, linens, pots pans, clothes, it all starts to pile up, to grow, to multiple….until you are chained to your stuff. Cars, houses, cottages….more and more stuff.

I have stuff in storage…. I think I would toss most of it if I did return….

If it was a limited stay, then I could break free…. I hope so.

So what does this freedom allow me…. If I can’t stay in Japan, then I can go almost anywhere…. I just have to decide where and if it will suit me.

What would suit me….. A warm place.
Someplace I have not been/ lived before
Someplace I would feel safe, and comfortable.
Someplace that I can support myself and send some funds home by teaching English….. Or photography.
This cuts down a large percentage of the world……

As I think on my plans, a sense of “missing” comes into play.
I don’t miss stuff or places, but I do miss people. Family, friends, have been on my mind recently.
Maybe a stop in Ontario would be a good thing, no matter where I end up.
