I love peanut butter, I could ( and have) lived on bread and PB.
My fav is a good multi-grain, with kraft or skippy… Though, on the advise of a dietitian, I switched to “pure” peanut butter… Less sugar and transfat.
Last time I visited Tokyo, I brought a big jar of PB. It lasted the 3 weeks I was here. (PB IN Yogart… yum)
This time I was too overloaded to think about it.
I went to shopping today… Skippy peanut butter… 150ml ¥698.
Beside it, for ¥100, was a container.A drawing like mister peanut on the label.
Still being on a tight budget, I picked up the cheaper product.
I think the factory where it is made may have peanuts in it, but I am not sure about this product.
It is like spreading a thick butterscotch. Taste is sweet, not bad, but not peanut butter. 🙁
And the bread… All there is is a White bread that would put wonder bread to shame with it’s airiness, and lack of substance.
Anyone have a good recipe for a stove top bread ( no access to an oven)
I have made bread in an oven before, but have never tried a stove top one.
