Cut down is tough

I shot a lot in Japan!

As well as the images for the project I shot some private images as well as snaps.

In Total over 10,000 images.

I am about 1/2 way through the second pass and am at about 400 images.

My workflow on this is:
First pass…remove eyeblinks, out of focus and just unsavable…. this cut down to about 8,000 ( I screwed around a lot with my g9)

Second pass I look at at images and if I like them I mark them for later reveiw.

I never erase an image, because sometime I come back and find the ones I didn’t like, have become keepers.

Then comes the third cut!

I will spend hours deciding between 2 or 3 similar images…. I like the eyes here but the background there…  Sometimes I will work up an image in photoshop, just to toss it.. This can be the most frustrating part of the work.

Along the way I will also work on some images…just to keep the boredom factor in check.  I am not sure if these images will pass the third cut…{jcomments on}
