Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
Art is know which ones to keep

I teach workshop, set up shoots , as well as photograph professionally.
One of the big downsides of shooting for money, where client expectations are high, is you can not make mistakes.
It is the same when teaching workshops.
You will loose credibility if your images suck when you show what you have shot. ( it can be a very humbling and frightening experience to show a room full of photographers your raw images fresh out of the camera)

I had the chance this weekend to attend a photoshoot put on by Anthony and Kevin at Creative Image Studios
. It was great! Great model (Katy Cee)
Great sets.( Well done Kevin)
And I could play... No expectations.
I could be creative and make mistakes.
Some of my images sucked... Some were worse then that, but a few I rather like.
You have to be careful that any shoots you attend will meet your expectations, but these type of events, if properly controlled, can be a great way to make mistakes...and learn from them.
You can see some of my proofs here
